What's Up?  Decorative plaster ceilings are among the
reasons why historians want to preserve the Vought House
in Clinton Township.  It belonged to Loyalists during the
Revolutionary War.  The nonprofit group 1759 Vought
House was created to take ownership of the house from the
township school district and turn it into the state's first
Loyalist Museum.  Janice Armstrong (center) is the first
non-charter member.  She and founding members Jo-An'
Van Doren and Adam Wengryn inspect one of the ceilings.
Ms. Armstrong is the director of Fleming Castle.
